Start – Instructor led activities
Our START instructor-led activities are categorised into ‘Active’ and ‘Pool’ sessions, which isn’t to imply that the pool-based activities are anything other than super-energetic. Whichever session you book, you’d better be ready for action…
Our aquatic activities include some of the following:
Sea Scooters (1hr/ 1.5 hrs)
Sea Scooters are a great way to have fun in the water. In this session you’ll learn the basics of using a Sea Scooter, which is a handheld device that propels you through the water.
Sea Scooters are not suitable for non-swimmers and can only be used by those aged nine years old and over.
Inflatable canoes (1hr/1.5 hrs)
Have fun in the pool while learning some basic canoeing skills. There is no minimum age for these sessions.
Raft building (1hr/1.5 hrs)
Work as a team to choose your equipment, design and build your raft, and then race across the pool. There is no minimum age for this activity.
Water Walkerz (3-5 mins on the water)
Can you stay standing as you bob around on the surface of the pool inside the Waterwalker? There’s only one way to find out.
For this activity each participant books a 15-minute time slot, in which they will have 3-5 mins in the Waterwalker.
The minimum age for participants is five years, and there’s a maximum weight of 15 stone. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women or anyone with high blood pressure, heart or respiratory conditions, epilepsy, back or neck injuries, or those who have had an operation in the last 12 months.
Our instructor-led Active sessions are all about families having fun in a friendly, safe environment. Here are some activities you can enjoy:
Body Zorbs (1 hr/1.5 hrs)
Body Zorbing involves slipping your upper-body into a big, transparent and bouncy ball, leaving your legs free for all kinds of challenges and games. Body Zorbs are suitable for those aged six and over, with a maximum weight of 14 stone.
Panna Soccer (1hr/1.5 hrs)
Get ready for a fun and fast-paced game of Panna Soccer, an energetic sport that requires both individual skill and teamwork. Panna soccer is suitable for adults and children aged six and over. Please wear full-length trousers.
• All sessions must be booked at least 30 minutes before the activity starts.
• All children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult who will stay for the whole session.
• Buoyancy aids will be provided for non-swimmers for all water activities.
• Helmets will be provided for all extreme sessions.
• Disclaimers must be read and signed before each session.
